Available Positions

For the purposes of improving operational efficiency, the hospital is looking for energetic and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions on Volunteer terms:

1. Nursing Officer II (14 Posts)

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications: Holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Midwifery, or equivalent.
• Requirements: Must have successfully completed an internship and be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.
• Skills: Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required for clear communication with patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care and counsel patients.
• Collect medical data and educate patients/relatives on health issues.
• Manage drug orders and ward equipment while adhering to the Dangerous Drug Act (DDA).
• Utilize integrated hospital management information systems and ICT for reporting.

2. Assistant Nursing Officer II (10 Posts)

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications: Holder of a Diploma in Nursing, Midwifery, or equivalent.
• Requirements: Must be licensed by the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver general patient care and conduct ward rounds.
• Administer prescribed drugs and treatments.
• Educate and counsel patients regarding their health problems.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and hospital business processes.
