Tosamaganga Regional Referral Hospital (TRRH) is a landmark healthcare institution in the southern highlands of Tanzania. Founded in 1968 and recently elevated to Regional Referral status in 2024, we serve over 70,000 patients annually.
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Anesthetist to join our surgical team and ensure the highest standards of perioperative care.

As a Nurse Anesthetist at TRRH, you will work closely with surgeons and physicians to provide anesthesia-related care before, during, and after medical procedures. Your role is vital in ensuring patient safety and comfort during diagnostic and obstetric interventions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Anesthesia Management: Prepare and administer precise dosages of anesthesia tailored to patient needs.
- Patient Monitoring: Rigorously monitor vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgical procedures.
- Recovery Oversight: Manage patient safety and comfort during the critical anesthesia recovery phase.
- Clinical Evaluation: Assess patient progress pre-, intra-, and post-procedure to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Administrative & Training: Manage anesthesia inventory and provide specialized training to clinical staff as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized institution.
- Specialization: Post-graduate training or certification in Anesthesia.
- Registration: Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).
- Licensing: Possession of a valid, current license to practice.
- Experience: Minimum of 24 months (2 years) of relevant experience.
- Commitment: Candidates must commit to the role for a minimum of one (1) year.

- Citizenship: All applicants must be citizens of Tanzania.
- Age Limit: Not more than 45 years of age.

- Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates.
- Birth Certificate and NIDA Card/Number.
