The Tanzania People’s Defence Forces (TPDF) is pleased to announce recruitment opportunities for Tanzanian youth who have completed education levels ranging from Secondary School (Form IV and VI) to Higher Education.

Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive military training and receive further professional development in their respective fields of expertise.

To be considered for enrollment, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship: Must be a Tanzanian citizen by birth.
Age Limits:
- Form IV & VI Graduates: Must not exceed 25 years of age.
- Higher Education Graduates: Must not exceed 28 years of age.
Health: Must be in excellent physical and mental health.
Character: Must possess high discipline and a clean record (no criminal convictions or imprisonment).
Documents: Must possess an original birth certificate and original academic/school leaving certificates.
Exclusivity: Applicants must not have previously served in the Police Force, Prisons Service, National Service (JKT) as an employee, KMKM, or any other security organ.
National Service Requirement: Must have completed JKT training (2-year voluntary contract or by law) and been awarded a certificate.
- Note: Youth currently in JKT camps are not eligible for this specific announcement.

Application Requirements

All applications must be handwritten and include the following attachments:

A copy of your National ID (NIDA) or your NIDA number.
Copies of your Birth Certificate, School Certificates, and College/University Certificates.
A copy of your JKT completion certificate.
Your active mobile phone number.

Applications must be submitted in person to the TPDF Headquarters in Msalato, Dodoma, starting from April 15, 2026, until the deadline on April 28, 2026.
