Driver Grade II at Sengerema District 3 Posts
Job Description
The Sengerema District Council is seeking qualified and experienced individuals to fill three (3) Driver Grade II positions. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing reliable and safe transportation services to support the Council’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Transport staff to various locations for official duties
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs
- Handle collection and distribution of official documents
- Maintain accurate records of all trips in the vehicle logbook
- Ensure assigned vehicles are kept clean and presentable
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Form IV Certificate (Ordinary Secondary Education)
- Licensing: Valid Class E or C driving license with:
- Minimum one year of accident-free driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Preferred Additional Qualification:
- Basic vocational training in vehicle mechanics from VETA or any other government-recognized institution
