Duties and Responsibilities
When assigned to the mortuary, your primary duties will include:
- Sanitation: Daily cleaning and disinfection of the mortuary facilities.
- Body Handling: Receiving bodies from wards, washing, drying, measuring, and positioning them for preservation.
- Clinical Support: Performing embalming and preparing bodies for postmortem examinations when required.
- Administration: Maintaining accurate records for all mortuary services.
- General Duties: When not in the mortuary, you will perform standard health attendant duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Note: This role requires working in shifts.
Qualifications and Experience
CCBRT is looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- Education: Form IV certificate with passing grades in Kiswahili and English.
- Certification: A 1-year certificate in Nursing or Health Attendant courses, plus basic training in Mortuary attendance.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a medical attendant (prior mortuary experience is a significant advantage).
- Skills: Basic computer literacy.
- Effective communication skills with a basic level of English.
- Familiarity with various religious customs in Tanzania.
- Strong interpersonal sensitivity.
