The Kahama Municipal Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and in accordance with the National Guidelines for Voluntary Health Professionals, invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens for the following contract-based positions.

1. Medical Officer II (Daktari Daraja II) – 05 Positions

Salary Grade: TGHS E1 (Paid at 50% as per voluntary health guidelines)

Duties and Responsibilities

You will provide essential medical services across various departments, including general medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics. You will also lead community health initiatives and mentor junior staff and students.

Qualification and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MD) from a government-recognized university.
• Internship: Successful completion of an internship program approved by the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).
• Registration: Must be legally registered and hold a valid, up-to-date license from the Medical Council of Tanganyika.

2. Radiographer II (Mteknolojia Mionzi II) – 02 Positions

Salary Grade: TGHS B1 (Paid at 50% as per voluntary health guidelines)

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for diagnostic imaging and ensuring the proper functioning of radiology equipment. You will assist doctors in preliminary image interpretation and manage the processing and storage of radiological records.

Qualification and Experience

• Education: Form IV or VI certificate with a Diploma in Radiography (X-ray) from a recognized institution.
• Technical Skills: Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and ensure the safety of radiation environments.

• Citizenship: Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45 years.
• Documentation: * A detailed CV with reliable contact information and three (3) professional referees.
  • Certified copies of academic and professional certificates (Testimonials or provisional results will not be accepted).

  • One recent passport-sized photograph.
• Foreign Qualifications: Certificates from foreign institutions must be verified by TCU or NACTE.
