Job Summary

The Nurse Midwife will provide obstetrical care to pregnant women and their babies, conducting follow-ups before, during, and after delivery, adhering to MTI’s obstetrical protocols and universal health standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

ResponsibilitiesDetails
Comprehensive Maternal ServicesProvide care during and after pregnancy, manage complications, and refer high-risk cases.
Delivery ServicesDeliver babies, prepare birth attestations, and monitor maternal and newborn health.
CounselingAdvise mothers on breastfeeding, hygiene, and post-pregnancy care.
Primary HealthcareParticipate in health education, family planning, nutrition programs, and PMTCT activities.
Family PlanningProvide non-surgical methods and counsel on surgical options.
ImmunizationEnsure timely immunization of newborns.
Sexual Violence SupportAssist doctors in managing sexual violence cases.
Inventory ManagementMonitor and report drug and equipment needs for maternity services.
Hygiene and SterilizationMaintain universal hygiene and sterilization protocols.
Ethical PracticesUphold professional and MTI Codes of Conduct.
ReportingEnsure accurate data collection and timely reporting.

Minimum Diploma in MidwiferyRequired from an accredited institution.
Bachelor’s Degree in MidwiferyPreferred.
Valid Practicing LicenseMandatory.

Experience
