Global Volunteers RCP Program Caregiver Opportunities – October 2025

Global Volunteers is a nonsectarian international development organization in consultative status with the United Nations. Active in 14 countries, it has operated in the Iringa Region, Tanzania, since 1987.
Reaching Children’s Potential (RCP) Program
This is a family-centered, community-led initiative focused on supporting children from pregnancy to age 2. It provides essential services in nutrition, healthcare, education, and more to combat stunting and improve early childhood development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Weekly home visits to families
- Participation in training and workshops
- Supporting and advising families, especially pregnant women and children under 2
- Facilitating community engagement and learning
- Measuring children’s growth monthly at the Ipalamwa Health Clinic
- Promoting hygiene, nutrition, and cognitive development practices
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong people skills and self-motivation
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and internet tools
- Experience in child development, nutrition, health, or community engagement is an advantage
Minimum Education Requirements
- A two-year diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Nutrition, or Sociology
- Strong English proficiency (written and spoken) is essential

- Location: Ukwega Ward, Kilolo District – Iringa Region
- Compensation: Full-time position
- Reports to: RCP Program Caregiver Supervisor
