Operations Manager at GSM November 2025

Position: Operation Supervisor

Reporting to: Operations Manager Business Unit: GSM Beverages Duty Station: Dar es Salaam

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all beverage factory operations, including loading, offloading, stacking, and dispatching to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure goods and containers received align with procurement orders and shipping documentation, and update ERP records accordingly.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials, packaging, finished goods, and spare parts.
• Monitor and control utilization of company vehicles, forklifts, and transport equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
• Oversee warehouse inventory, ensuring physical stock tallies with ERP data through regular stock reconciliations.
• Enforce adherence to operational procedures, SHEQ standards, and compliance requirements.
• Prepare and submit timely reports on operations, inventory, and logistics performance.
• Supervise and motivate the operations team to maintain discipline, safety, and productivity.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and logistics departments for smooth operational execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in operations or logistics supervision within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
