IDEA Services operates a small mental health service near Wellington, providing supported accommodation for individuals with high or complex mental health needs, intellectual disabilities, or dual diagnoses.
Our team offers around-the-clock support with specialized training to assist residents effectively. Our service emphasizes the importance of a supportive environment, access to good food, exercise, social relationships, hope, human rights, and community involvement. Residents actively participate in decision-making through meetings and committees.
The supported accommodation consists of six homes in a neighborhood near Raumati Beach. Staff work across the site, helping residents set goals, manage medication, perform daily activities, and explore opportunities for personal growth. We collaborate closely with local health and support services.

No prior experience in the health and disability sector is required; however, a positive attitude and a desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker are highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided for enthusiastic individuals who are eager to learn.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- A calm nature and confidence in working with challenging behaviors
- Comfortable using computers and tablets daily
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Physical fitness to provide necessary support
- A Full NZ driver’s license
