The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of MDAs & LGAs (Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Government Authorities), invites applications from qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacancies as specified in this announcement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all hospital-based clinical duties related to various diseases, including pediatric conditions, obstetric and gynecological cases, and routine as well as emergency surgeries.
- Provide and supervise health education services and promote community health within the District, Region, or assigned area.
- Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
- Maintain and utilize health statistics in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.
- Plan and evaluate health services within the assigned area.
- Teach students and staff working within the area of assignment.
- Supervise and guide subordinate staff.
- Design and conduct research and disseminate findings.
- Develop and prepare strategies to improve the quality of services in their profession.
- Prepare plans and budget estimates for health services.
- Participate in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a government-recognized university or institution, have successfully completed an internship, and be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
