Medical Doctors Job at Mbalizi Hospital (3 Positions)

Mbalizi-Ifisi Hospital is located approximately 20 kilometers west of Mbeya City along the Tunduma–Zambia highway, in Ikumbi Ifisi Village near Mbalizi town.

The Hospital has received approval to recruit new employees from the Secretary General of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania through Ref. No. MH/GC/TEC/01/2025. Applications are therefore invited from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions. These positions are replacements for employees who have left employment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a Government-recognized institution.
• Must have successfully completed internship training.
• Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
• Must hold a valid practicing license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical services including pediatric care, maternal health services, and both routine and emergency surgical procedures.
• Supervise and promote health education and community health improvement initiatives.
• Investigate, monitor, and control disease outbreaks.
• Maintain health statistics and ensure proper utilization in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate health services within the assigned area.
• Train students and mentor healthcare staff.
• Supervise and develop junior staff.
• Conduct research activities and disseminate findings.
• Participate in medical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare departmental plans and budget estimates.
• Provide outreach services within the District/Region.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with qualifications and experience.

Salary: TGHS E salary scale.
