Pharmaceutical Technician at THPS

Employer: Kakonko District Council in collaboration with Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS) under the Afya Hatta Project.
Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension based on funding availability).

Location: Kakonko Health Center (HC) and Kasanda Dispensary
Reports to: Medical Officer in Charge / DACC

Duties and Responsibilities

• Dispense ARVs and medications following good pharmacy practices.
• Provide adherence counselling, manage stock levels, and prevent drug shortages.
• Conduct monthly inventory checks, use e-LMIS/pharmacy modules, and ensure redistribution of HIV/AIDS drugs.
• Handle prescriptions, maintain cleanliness, and respond to medical supply inquiries.

Qualifications and Experience

• Form Four graduate with a Diploma/Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy.
• Valid professional license and 1+ year of CTC experience.
• Proficiency in English/Swahili, problem-solving, and independent work.
