Job Description

Epiphany Regional Referral Hospital is inviting qualified, competent, and motivated individuals to apply for the following open positions based at our facility in Mbagala Kuu, Njia Ng’ombe.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Dispensing & Verification: Accurately compound, package, and dispense prescribed medications to outpatients and inpatients, ensuring correct dosages and clear instructions

  • Clinical Consultation: Review prescriptions to detect therapeutic duplications, potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, or contraindications, and consult with medical practitioners when necessary.

  • Patient Counseling: Educate patients on proper medication adherence, potential side effects, and correct storage of their medicines.

  • Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee the ordering, receiving, secure storage, and inventory control of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies to prevent stockouts or expirations.

  • Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all pharmacy practices comply with Ministry of Health regulations, the Pharmacy Council standards, and hospital policies.

  • Supervision: Provide guidance and supervision to pharmaceutical technicians, interns, and support staff within the department.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the Pharmacy Council.

  • Experience: Previous hospital working experience will be an added advantage.

  • Skills: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
