Job Description

Survival Hospital is a private hospital duly registered as District – level in accordance with the provisions of the Private Hospital (Regulation) Act (cap 151) with Registration number 12151, it is located at Rushe, Mabira, in Kyerwa District, Kagera Region.

The hospital has launched all Major units of operation includes Pharmacy, laboratory, Laboure, Theatre, RCH, Maternity, paternity, radiology, emergency, neonatal, mortuary and in patient wards for patient admission. Survival Hospital is a newly established facility owned by NSG CO. LTD whose headquarters are in Geita region.

The hospital offers a conducive working environment, with access to essential services such as roads, water and electricity are available.

The hospital is now looking for self-motivated staff with work patients in the following field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Examine patients, take medical histories, and request/interpret diagnostic tests.
• Provide accurate diagnosis and prescribe appropriate treatment.
• Offer preventive care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, interns, and C/Os.
• Ensure proper documentation of all patient records in accordance with hospital policy.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and continuous professional development.
• Maintain professional ethics and comply with all hospital policies, national medical regulations, and patient safety standards.
• Provide emergency medical care when required, including on-call duties.
• Contribute to research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives of the hospital.
• Performing permitted procedures according to the requirements

Qualification and Experience

Knowledge, skills, abilities necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position satisfactorily. These could be Manual, Administrative, Technical, Professional and Operational.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from a recognized university.
• Completion of a one-year internship in a recognized health facility.
• Valid registration and license to practice from the Medical Council of Tanganyika. (MCT).

Knowledge

• Excellent clinical knowledge across general medicine and patient care.
• Understanding of hospital procedures, infection prevention and control, and medical ethics.
• Experience of at least 2–3 years post-internship in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Familiarity with emergency care, outpatient, and inpatient management.
• Experience in supervising junior medical staff and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.

• Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.
