Position Title: Legal Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Reporting To: Group CEO / Azam FC CEO
Supported Entities: Said Salim Bakhresa & Co. Ltd, Azam Football Club, and other group affiliates

Are you a strategic legal professional who thrives in fast-paced, impactful settings? We’re looking for a Legal Manager to join our team as the primary in-house legal counsel, providing cross-sector support across our diverse group of businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts in both commercial and sports sectors
- Ensure legal compliance with Tanzanian corporate laws, labor laws, food safety regulations, and international sports regulations (TFF, CAF, FIFA)
- Provide guidance on regulatory issues, risk management, and governance practices
- Oversee litigation and dispute resolution in a cost-effective manner
- Protect intellectual property and support brand enforcement, particularly for Azam FC
- Advise senior leadership on strategic legal matters
- Deliver training on compliance, contract processes, and legal risk awareness

- Strong satisfaction from internal teams and stakeholders
- Proactive identification and handling of legal risks
Candidate Profile:
- LLB from a recognized institution; LL.M or Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice is a plus
- Licensed Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania
- 5–7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably with exposure to in-house roles
- Deep understanding of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law
- Prior experience in FMCG/manufacturing or the sports/entertainment sectors is a plus
- Strong skills in contract drafting, negotiation, and bilingual communication (English & Swahili)
- Demonstrates integrity, independence, and business-oriented thinking
