Mbalizi-Ifisi Hospital is located approximately 20 kilometers west of Mbeya City along the Tunduma–Zambia highway, in Ikumbi Ifisi Village near Mbalizi town.
The Hospital has received approval to recruit new employees from the Secretary General of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania through Ref. No. MH/GC/TEC/01/2025.
Applications are therefore invited from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacant positions. These positions are replacements for employees who have left employment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must possess a Master of Medicine (M.Med) in Surgery (minimum three years) from a Government-recognized university.
- Must be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika.
- Must hold a valid practicing license.
- Proven experience in performing major and minor surgical procedures is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend and assess patients with surgical conditions.
- Conduct thorough examinations to determine surgical necessity.
- Decide and explain appropriate surgical procedures and pre-operative management.
- Perform surgical procedures competently using appropriate equipment.
- Supervise the operating theatre team.
- Coordinate between surgical wards and theatre teams.
- Prepare surgical schedules and patient lists.
- Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications.
- Guide patients and relatives on post-surgical care and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and anesthetists to ensure quality patient care.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the employer.
Salary: Above TGHS G (Higher than Government scale).
