The EMS Medical Assistance Officer will be responsible for providing professional medical assistance services.
This includes full management of medical assistance subscription packages, emergency response coordination, medical case management, hospital admission coordination, medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) coordination, and continuous patient monitoring to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality medical support to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, monitor, and manage assigned medical assistance cases from case opening to closure.
- Receive and respond to medical assistance requests via phone, email, dispatch systems, or walk-in clients.
- Develop and fully manage medical assistance subscription packages.
- Coordinate ambulance dispatch services for both emergency and non-emergency cases.
- Coordinate hospital admissions, referrals, and patient transfers.
- Coordinate medical evacuations, including ground and air ambulance (MEDEVAC).
- Monitor patient progress and provide regular updates to clients, families, and management.
- Liaise with hospitals, clinics, ambulance providers, air ambulance operators, and medical specialists to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of medical assistance case records.
- Coordinate guarantees of payment (GOP) and cost approvals.
- Review and verify medical reports, treatment plans, and medical invoices.
- Ensure smooth and efficient communication between TMHS EMS, hospitals, and clients.
- Deliver the highest level of professional customer service across all client interactions (phone, email, SMS, and in-person).
- Maintain an up-to-date database of medical service providers, contacts, and stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and implementing EMS operational policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly EMS case reports.
- Ensure confidentiality of all medical and client information.
- Assist in marketing EMS medical assistance services to hospitals, corporates, and insurance companies.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
- Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement of EMS medical assistance services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Diploma in Nursing, or a related field.
- Experience working with medical insurance is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in a reputable organization.
- Strong communication, coordination, and customer service skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
