Global HOPE-MUHAS Pediatric Haematology and Oncology Program

The Global HOPE-MUHAS PHO program aims to build capacity in Pediatric Haematology and Oncology in Tanzania through training, provision of evidence-based medical care, and research.

As part of its activities, the program is seeking enthusiastic and energetic individuals to apply for the following vacant position:

Position Details

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Nursing or Clinical Medicine
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in health/medical data collection, entry, and management
  • Prior exposure to Pediatric Hematology & Oncology (advantageous)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a case report folder for each patient enrolled in research studies, ensuring all essential documents, templates, and forms are included as per the IRB-approved protocol.
  • Enter and update patient information into the database system periodically.
  • Process and log non-clinical data for program monitoring and evaluation.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely data entry, adhering to data management SOPs.
  • Verify data accuracy by comparing database records with source documents.
  • Generate monthly reports on clinic attendances, scheduled/unscheduled visits, and new patient registrations.
  • Provide routine reports to other program departments as needed.
  • Participate in educational and departmental activities.
  • Engage in research activities as per IRB-approved protocols.
  • Attend program and departmental meetings.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Director of the program.
