Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following clinical and laboratory duties:
- Sanitation & Maintenance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the laboratory environment, including all specialized equipment, workspaces, and glassware.
- Specimen Collection: Collect venous blood samples from patients safely and preserve clinical specimens according to standard medical laboratory procedures.
- Testing & Diagnostics: Perform assigned routine laboratory tests accurately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date records of all laboratory investigations and test results in the official laboratory register.
- General Support: Perform any other related duties and administrative tasks as assigned by the laboratory supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for the role:
- Basic Education: Holder of a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate (O-Level).
- Professional Training: Must have completed a two (2) years Certificate in Health Laboratory Science or equivalent qualifications from a government-recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months of experience working within a laboratory environment is preferred.
- Working Hours: 8 hours per day (Standard Shift).
