The Secretary of the Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, on behalf of MDAs & LGAs (Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Government Authorities), invites applications from qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacancies as specified in this announcement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all hospital-based clinical duties related to oral and dental diseases.
- Provide and supervise oral and dental health education.
- Promote and improve oral health within the workplace and the community.
- Perform dental fillings/restorations, oral surgeries, prosthodontics (dentures), and orthodontic procedures (jaw alignment).
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
- Teach students in health training institutions within the area of assignment.
- Design and conduct research and disseminate findings.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality of professional services.
- Prepare plans and budget estimates for oral and dental health services.
- Participate in reviewing and improving health service delivery.
- Provide outreach services within the assigned district/region.
- Maintain and utilize health statistics in accordance with MTUHA guidelines.
- Plan and evaluate oral and dental health services in the assigned area.
- Conduct research in various areas of oral and dental health.
- Perform any other duties assigned by a supervisor relevant to education, experience, and professional competence.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a government-recognized institution, have successfully completed an internship, and be registered with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
