Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) is the largest local provider of disability and rehabilitation services in Tanzania.

CCBRT is engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities, including obstetric fistula repairs. Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral center for high-risk deliveries in Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

1. Procurement Officer Intern – Work Exposure Placement

CCBRT is seeking a Procurement Officer Intern who is dynamic, proactive, and eager to gain hands-on experience in procurement operations.

  • Position: Procurement Officer Intern (1 post)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessing requisitions and directing them to the appropriate staff.
  • Monitor the progress of purchase orders and other procurement activities.
  • Provide updates to user departments on order status.
  • Support urgent procurement needs by liaising with pre-approved suppliers.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse for deliveries and update the procurement lead.
  • Support compliance with procurement procedures and ethical practices.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Logistics Management or an equivalent field.
  • Must be registered with the PSPTB (Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be eager to learn and contribute.
  • Possess good communication and organizational skills.

To create a People with Disabilities Database, CCBRT invites people with disabilities to submit their CVs and application letters for future consideration in various fields. There are currently no open vacancies, but applicants will be added to the database for future opportunities.

Applicant Requirements

  • The minimum education level is Form Four.
  • Holders of a Certificate, Diploma, Master’s, or PhD in the categories mentioned above.
  • Registered with a respective professional body, if applicable.
  • Possession of a valid license to practice, if applicable.
  • Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Kiswahili and English.

3. Occupational Therapist

In line with strengthening our Occupational Therapy services, we are looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Moshi .

The role

To offer quality occupational therapy rehabilitation services (including counselling and education) to clients of CCBRT as per their needs both the clinic and when required in the community, as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.

Oversee the provision of seating clinic services in both clinic and community settings, guaranteeing its efficiency, safety, and compliance with CCBRT requirements. Provide rehabilitation and counselling services both at the clinic and (when required) in the community as per the standards and guidelines of CCBRT. Data, Reporting & Donor/Partner Liaison.

The candidate

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Occupational therapy.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist who is allowed to practice by Medical Council of Tanganyika.
  • A member of Association of Occupational Therapist in Tanzania.
  • Able to use electrotherapy machines.
  • Specific trainings will be added value (CP Management, Manual Therapy Certification, Communication Skills for Working with Patients/parents with Disabilities, Sensory Integration Therapy Training, basic wheelchair knowledge) etc
  • Computer literate.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both English and Swahili).
  • A pro-active attitude and eagerness to work.
