The Executive Director of Tunduru District Council invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill 68 contract employment positions across various healthcare and educational sectors.

Detailed Positions, Qualifications & Duties

1. Medical Doctor II (10 Posts)

Qualifications: Must possess a Degree in Medicine/Doctor of Medicine (MD) from a recognized government-approved institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform hospital treatment services for various diseases.

    • Plan, supervise, and evaluate health services at district/regional levels.

    • Diagnose, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.

    • Train and supervise subordinate staff and medical students.

    • Provide outreach and medical-legal services.

2. Anesthesia Specialist (01 Post)

Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Anesthesia and Anesthetic Medicine from a government-recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assess patients before surgery and administer anesthesia.

    • Monitor patients during surgery and manage post-operative pain.

    • Participate actively in emergency medical services.

3. Assistant Nursing Officer II (30 Posts)

Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Nursing from a government-recognized institution and be registered with the Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC).

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide high-quality nursing care and services.

    • Collect vital health statistics and maintain records.

    • Educate communities and patients on preventive and curative healthcare.

4. Clinical Officer II (09 Posts)

Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a government-recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Examine and treat outpatients; perform minor surgical procedures.

    • Participate in planning and implementing Primary Health Care (PHC) services.

    • Advise and motivate citizens to utilize the Community Health Fund (CHF).

5. Pharmaceutical Technician II (02 Posts)

Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a government-recognized institution and be registered with the relevant professional board.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identify, estimate, and dispense medicine and medical supply requirements.

    • Properly store medicines, chemicals, and medical disinfectants.

    • Maintain accurate inventory records and inspect medicine quality.

6. Teacher Grade III B/C (16 Posts)

Target Subjects: History, English Language, Geography, and Commerce.

Qualifications: Must possess a Teaching Certificate in Arts or Commerce subjects.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Prepare work schemes, lesson plans, and teaching materials.

    • Teach, assess, and maintain student academic progress records.

    • Supervise extracurricular activities (sports, clubs, culture) and provide guidance/counseling.

General Requirements & Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be a Tanzanian citizen.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years old.

  • Foreign Certificates: Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must have their certificates verified by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA, or NACTVET).
