Job Description

The Medical Officer In-Charge of Coast Region Referral Hospital – Tumbi invites applications from qualified Tanzanian citizens to fill one-year voluntary contract positions. This is an excellent opportunity for healthcare and administrative professionals to gain valuable public sector experience.

Available Positions & Qualifications

1. Assistant Nursing Officer II (10 Posts)

  • Qualifications: Must possess a Diploma in Nursing from a government-recognized institution.

  • Registration: Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC).

2. Health Assistant (5 Posts)

  • Qualifications: Must have completed Form Four education.

  • Technical Education: Must possess a Certificate in Health Assistant or Environmental Health Technician from a government-recognized institution.

3. Nurse / Clinical Officer Anesthetist (2 Posts)

  • Qualifications: Must have completed formal training in Nursing or Clinical Medicine.

  • Specialization: Requires additional certified training in anesthesia administration from a government-recognized institution.

4. Public Relations Officer (1 Post)

  • Qualifications: Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or a Diploma from a government-recognized institution in one of the following fields:

    • Public Relations

    • Journalism and Mass Communication

    • Communication Studies

5. Customer Care Officer (2 Posts)

  • Qualifications: Must have completed Form Four education.

  • Technical Education: Must possess a certificate from a government-recognized institution in one of the following areas:

    • Customer Care / Public Relations

    • Marketing / Communication

    • Business Administration

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Must be a citizen of the United Republic of Tanzania.

  • Age Limit: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.

Required Application Documents

  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) containing up-to-date contact information and references.

  • Academic Certificates & Transcripts (Form Four, Form Six, and Professional Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees).

  • National Identification Card (NIDA) copy or NIDA number.

  • Birth Certificate copy.

  • Recommendation Letter: One letter signed and officially certified by your Local Government leader (Serikali ya Mtaa/Kijiji) from your current area of residence.
