Employer: Kakonko District Council in collaboration with Tanzania Health Promotion Support (THPS) under the Afya Hatta Project.

Contract Duration: 6 months (with possible extension based on funding availability).

Vacant Positions:

1. ART Nurse/Clinician (1 Position)

Location: Kakonko Health Center (HC) and Kasanda Dispensary
Reports to: Medical Officer in Charge / District AIDS Control Coordinator (DACC)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily clinical services at the CTC (Care and Treatment Clinic) from 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, including occasional weekend/evening clinics for stable clients.
  • Ensure proper patient file management under the three-boxes initiative.
  • Strengthen HIV testing, linkage services (Index testing, PITC), and adherence/retention strategies.
  • Ensure 75% of clients receive 6-month ART multi-scripting and 100% transition to Dolutegavir-based regimen.
  • Conduct Quality Improvement (QI) meetings, supervise peer educators/data clerks, and ensure accurate data reporting.
  • Maintain client education (e.g., using TV messages) and participate in THPS-led reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Form Four graduate with a Diploma/Certificate in Clinical Medicine or Nursing.
  • Valid professional license and 1+ year of CTC experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication (English/Swahili), and teamwork skills.
