The Commissioner General of the Fire and Rescue Force, under the authority granted by Section 14(4) of the Fire and Rescue Force Act, Chapter 427, and Regulation 5(1) of the Fire and Rescue Service Regulations of 2008, announces job vacancies at the rank of Constable for qualified Tanzanian youth as detailed below:

1. Candidates with a Secondary Education Certificate (Form Four)

Applicant Requirements

Requirement	Description
Nationality	Must be a Tanzanian citizen by birth
Birth Certificate	Must possess a valid birth certificate
Identification	Must have a National ID or NIDA number
Health	Must be physically and mentally fit
Criminal Record	Must have no criminal record
Marital Status	Must be single (not married)
Body Markings	Must not have any tattoos
Drug Use	Must not have used any illegal drugs
Training	Must be willing to undergo Fire and Rescue training
Government Employment	Must not have been previously employed by the government
Minimum Height	Males: 5.7 feet (170 cm), Females: 5.4 feet (163 cm)
Interview Costs	Must be willing to cover personal costs for the recruitment process
Age Limit	18 to 25 years

2. Candidates with Professional Skills

Candidates with a Form Four or Form Six certificate who also possess skills in the following fields are encouraged to apply:

• Heavy vehicle driving
• Plumbing
• Nursing
• Fire and Rescue techniques
• Medical services
• Helicopter piloting

Additional Requirements

Requirement	Description
All previous requirements	Must meet all criteria listed in Section 1 (a-m)
Helicopter Pilots	Age limit: 18 to 35 years
Drivers	Must have a Class E driving license and be aged 18 to 28 years
Driving Test	Selected drivers will undergo a practical driving test for heavy vehicles

3. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree

Candidates with degrees in the following fields are eligible to apply:

• Marine Engineering
• Information Technology (IT)
• Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
• English Language
• Quantity Surveying
• Multi-Media Technology
• Economics
• Law (Must have completed practical legal training)
• Education Management
• Road & Railway Transport Logistics Management
• Chemical Processing Engineering
