Job Purpose
The Unit Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by recruiting, mentoring, and managing a sales team.
The role involves client acquisition, group onboarding, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring consistent premium collections and renewals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Identify and recruit new clients and business groups.
- Drive group onboarding and policy activation.
- Provide continuous support and service to existing clients.
- Facilitate policy renewals and client retention activities.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a productive sales team.
- Ensure accurate Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation.
- Maintain disciplined weekly sales and performance reporting to the Zonal Relationship Executive (ZRE).
- Monitor premium collections and ensure follow-ups are completed.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in any field from a recognized institution.
- At least 1 year of experience in sales, preferably in:
- Insurance
- Banking
- Microfinance
- Field sales or agency sales
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in insurance will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High integrity and ability to work in a target-driven environment.
Compensation: Commission-based and performance-driven.
