Position: Nurse Officer Grade II – (5 Positions)
Qualifications and Experience
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.
- Must be a graduate with a Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a college recognized by the Government.
- Must be a legal holder of professional certificates.
- Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
- Must have two (2) referees who are Public Servants.
- Must have a letter from the Village/Mtaa/Hamlet Executive Officer.
- Must be willing to volunteer in the assigned area.
- Must never have been convicted by a court for criminal or disciplinary offences.
- Must have good conduct and behavior acceptable to the community.
- Must never have been employed in any public institution since graduating.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To perform nursing duties by serving clients in the community, hospitals, and all areas where health services are provided.
- To supervise and coordinate the work of health workers at their work station.
- To collect statistics and prepare reports on work performance.
- To provide preventive services and family planning services.
- To educate patients and the community on health-related issues.
- To monitor the maintenance of working tools in their work areas.
- To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
- To provide maternity and child health services.
