Amana Regional Referral Hospital invites applications from qualified and motivated Tanzanian graduates to fill five (5) volunteer positions for Nurse Officer Grade II.

Position: Nurse Officer Grade II – (5 Positions)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged between 18 years and not exceeding 35 years.
  • Must be a graduate with a Certificate or Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery from a college recognized by the Government.
  • Must be a legal holder of professional certificates.
  • Must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Tanzania.
  • Must have two (2) referees who are Public Servants.
  • Must have a letter from the Village/Mtaa/Hamlet Executive Officer.
  • Must be willing to volunteer in the assigned area.
  • Must never have been convicted by a court for criminal or disciplinary offences.
  • Must have good conduct and behavior acceptable to the community.
  • Must never have been employed in any public institution since graduating.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To perform nursing duties by serving clients in the community, hospitals, and all areas where health services are provided.
  • To supervise and coordinate the work of health workers at their work station.
  • To collect statistics and prepare reports on work performance.
  • To provide preventive services and family planning services.
  • To educate patients and the community on health-related issues.
  • To monitor the maintenance of working tools in their work areas.
  • To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
  • To provide maternity and child health services.
