Jeshi la Kujenga Taifa (JKT), through its Chief Major General Rajabu Nduku Mabele, has officially announced the selection of 50,000 youth who completed their secondary education (Form Six) in 2025.
These selected youths are required to join the JKT training in accordance with the National Service Act for the year 2025.
Reporting Dates and Assigned Camps
All selected youth are required to report to their assigned JKT camps between May 28, 2025, and June 8, 2025. This exercise is part of the government’s plan to instill patriotism, unity, and practical skills among Tanzanian youth.
The training will take place in the following JKT camps across various regions:
- JKT Rwamkoma – Mara
- JKT Msange – Tabora
- JKT Ruvu & JKT Kibiti – Pwani
- JKT Mpwapwa
- JKT Makutupora – Dodoma
- JKT Mafinga – Iringa
- JKT Male – Ruvuma
- JKT Mgambo & JKT Maramba – Tanga
- JKT Makuyuni & JKT Orjolo – Arusha
- JKT Bulombora, JKT Kanembwa & JKT Mtabila – Kigoma
- JKT Itaka – Songwe
- JKT Luwa & JKT Milundikwa – Rukwa
- JKT Nachingwea – Lindi
For youth with visible physical disabilities, reporting should be done at JKT Ruvu Camp in Mandizi, Pwani, which is equipped with the necessary facilities to support them.
Items Required for Camp
All trainees are expected to arrive at the camps with the following essential items:
- A dark blue bucket hat with an elastic band, knee-length, without zippers and with one back pocket.
- A green T-shirt.
- Green or blue sports shorts.
- Two navy blue bed sheets.
- Long black socks.
- Warm clothing (for those posted to cold areas).
- A green or blue tracksuit.
- Necessary documents such as birth certificates, Form Four and Form Six certificates, and any higher education admission documents.
- Personal travel fare to and from the camp.
Accessing the List of Selected Youth
To find out the specific camp assignment, students must visit the official JKT website: www.jkt.mil.tz. By entering the name or registration number of their school, they can check if they have been selected. If selected, their name will appear alongside the details of their assigned camp, including the region and district.
