Kitonka Medical Hospital is a Regional Referral Hospital located at Ukonga Gongo la Mboto, Ilala Municipality, Dar es Salaam. The Hospital is dedicated to delivering patient-centered, safe, and high-quality medical services.
In line with strengthening service delivery and expanding clinical capacity, the Hospital invites suitably qualified, competent, and motivated nurses to apply for the following positions:
Assistant Nursing Officers – 10 Posts
Qualifications and Requirements
- Holder of relevant academic qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Must have full registration and a valid practicing license from the relevant professional council.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and quality patient care.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- At least two (2) years of working experience in a hospital setting will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional standards and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and report changes promptly to the responsible clinician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
- Participate in infection prevention and control measures.
- Support health education initiatives for patients and families.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Nursing Officer In-Charge or supervisor.
Nursing Officers – 7 Posts
Qualifications and Requirements
- Holder of relevant academic qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Must have full registration and a valid practicing license from the relevant professional council.
- Strong ethical standards and dedication to quality service delivery.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Minimum of two (2) years of hospital working experience will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care and supervise junior nursing staff.
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards, nursing procedures, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate patient care activities within the assigned unit.
- Participate in ward management, including planning and resource utilization.
- Monitor patient outcomes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide mentorship and professional guidance to Assistant Nursing Officers and other staff.
- Participate in health education and community outreach programs when required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by hospital management.
