The Medical Officer of Geita Regional Referral Hospital announces to all qualified citizens the availability of various contract job positions for one year. The available positions are as follows:
MEDICAL RECORDS KEEPER – 4 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma in Medical Records Management from a government-recognized institution with at least three years of experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain systems to facilitate easy access to medical records/documents/information.
- Retrieve files/records.
- Handle admissions for inpatients and outpatients and register them in the system.
- Collect, review, and store various ward patient information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – 2 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have a Diploma in Accounting from a government-recognized institution or an ATEC II Certificate issued by NBAA or equivalent qualifications recognized by NBAA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial records for routine and development expenditures.
- Keep payment voucher documents.
- Record income and expenditures in financial books.
- Prepare various financial reports on received funds.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
SOCIAL WELFARE ASSISTANT (GRADE II) – 2 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form Four and hold a Diploma in Social Welfare from a government-recognized institution.
- Must have computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews with beneficiaries (people with disabilities, elderly, troubled families, children, and suspects).
- Inspect the living conditions of beneficiaries to gather complete information.
- Prepare interview and inspection reports on beneficiaries’ environments.
- Receive and compile social welfare information from stakeholders and various centers.
- Collect statistics on services for people with disabilities, elderly, child fostering, and troubled families.
- Receive, analyze, and prepare lists of applications for daycare centers, foster care, and child caregiver training centers.
- Receive, analyze, and prepare lists of applications for presidential support for mothers who have delivered triplets or more at once.
- Receive, analyze, and prepare lists of applications for orphans or children in need of various support.
- Receive, analyze, and prepare lists of applications from families and individuals in distress.
- Interview and prepare reports on suspects.
- Supervise beneficiaries in residences, vocational training centers for people with disabilities, juvenile detention centers, and rehabilitation schools.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor related to education, experience, and skills.
CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER – 5 POSITIONS
Applicant Qualifications:
- Must have completed Form Four or Six and hold a Diploma in Customer Service, Public Relations, or a related certificate from a government-recognized institution.
- Must have computer skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guide customers to various service areas based on their needs.
- Register all customers seeking medical services.
- Provide feedback to customers on various services and handle complaints.
- Ensure customers pay for the services they receive.
- Maintain confidential customer records and information.
- Receive feedback from customers and forward it to the relevant departments.
- Provide services to customers at acceptable standards.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR APPLICANTS
- Salary levels for each position will follow the National Guidelines issued in July 2021 regarding volunteer staff in Health Cadres.
- Applicants must be Tanzanian citizens aged between 18 and 45.
- Applicants must attach copies of Secondary Education Certificates and professional certificates as required for the respective cadre.
- Applicants must attach a copy of their birth certificate.
- Submission of forged certificates will lead to legal action.
- Applicants must include a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) with phone numbers, personal address, and addresses of three referees.
- Applicants must attach two passport-sized photos to the application letter.
- Applicants must attach copies of referees’ letters along with copies of their National ID (NIDA).
- Applicants must be ready to be assigned or transferred to any work location as needed by the employer.
- Applicants must be neat and highly disciplined.
- Applicants whose professions require registration with professional boards must attach valid registration certificates and licenses.
